Role - Shift Manager – IDC Utility O&M (ISBL + OSBL)

 (Electrical Engineers – 3 nos., Mechanical Engineer – 1 no.)

Scope

·        Utility Infrastructure Management of Mission critical Data Centre Facility

·        Energy Efficiency improvement

·        Maintaining SLA of highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Availability Management

o   Managing uptime of 24x7x365 for Data centers Facility Infrastructure.

·        Asset Management

o   Updation of Asset Master and O&M history for Assets

• Maintenance Management

o   Monitoring performance of the Managed Services vendor against defined SLAs.

o   Propose and implement energy optimization initiatives

o   Preparation and execution of maintenance schedule for all utility infrastructure

• Materials Management

o   Management of spares – own / VMI

• Contracts Management

o   Development, selection & evaluation of vendors / sub-vendors

o   Maintenance interface with manpower sharing agency

• Maintenance Budget & Cost Control (Capex & Opex)

o   Preparation, monitoring & control of Opex & Capex proposals and budgets

• Technical

o   Monitoring, Operation & maintenance of

o   Electrical system ranging from 11 KV, 6.6 KV & 0.433 KV.

o   Emergency Diesel Generator sets ranging from 160 KVA to 3000 KVA.

o   Dynamic rotary UPS system (DRUPS) & Static UPS.

o   Battery Banks.

o   Battery Chargers.

o   Various control system on DG and DRUPS sets.

o   HT & LT Panels, PCC Panels, MCC Panels, Power Distribution panels, control system of power panels, Power & Lighting distribution Boards

o   Protective relays and protection Systems.

o   Transformers Ranging from 12.5 MVA to 2.5 MVA

o   HT / LT switch gears - 11 KV /6.6 KV VCBs & 0.433 KV ACBs etc.

o   BMS System.

o   HVAC System - PACs, Water cooled Centrifugal/Screw Chillers, Primary pumps, Secondary Pumps, Cooling water Pumps, Cooling Tower fans, Motorized control valves, Exhaust Fans, Fresh Air Fans, AHUs, etc.

o   Water Leak Detection System,

o   VESDA System,

o   Rodent Repellent System,

o   FM 200 System,

o   Chemical Filters.

o   Lifts – Fright & Passenger, EOT Cranes

o   General

o   Failure root cause analysis.

o   Training of electrical personnel.

o   Preparation of MIS reports.

o   Controlling day to day activities.

o   Preparation of shift scheduled, preventive Maintenance scheduled etc.,

o   Loading unloading of Diesel in the Main Diesel tank from the tankers.

o   Auto working of diesel day tank filling system.

o   Testing/trouble shooting of the above maintained equipment

o   Control/interlock/protection of the above equipment.

o   Electrical and mechanical measurement/measuring instruments.

o   Emergency power and operations.

o   Inter-site co-ordination during shut down of Indoor and outdoor equipment.

o   Liaisoning with government officials.

o   Should be able to suggest & implement various Energy Conservation schemes.

o   Systems & procedures for electrical and mechanical maintenance.

o   Basis for preventive maintenance/predictive maintenance.

o   Good knowledge of vibration analysis, equipment lubrications, etc.

o   Hazardous areas classification

o   Cooling water system distribution, inter-connections and alternatives.

o   Knowledge of water chemistry & its impact on equipment for Cooling Tower & Usage of Treated water.

o   Should be capable of handling shut downs without affecting the services.

o   Day to day activities as per schedule and procedure.

o   Monitoring of fire systems and coordination with Fire department in emergency.

o   Monitoring and operation of HVAC / Ventilations system

o   Support to the IT team for power provision with required arrangement.

o   Guidance to the junior technical staff during emergency situation.

o   Co-ordination with security for access control and CCTV monitoring for Visitors entries.

o   Attending Breakdowns of equipment with co-ordination in emergency situation.

o   Preparations of work permits for different activities and maintenance work.

o   Monitoring the activities of services and project.

o   Maintaining all records

Requirements

• Familiarization with OSS, SAP PM & MM Modules
• Continuous Process Plant Knowledge
• Demonstrate problem solving skills, strong conceptual and analytical skills along-with ability to work as an effective team member.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Soft skills – Interpersonal relationship management, Time Management, etc.
