Scope

  • Responsible for Operation & Maintenance of Utilities including:
  • Sub Station
  • Chiller House
  • DRUPS & SDMO DG Sets
  • Centrifugal Pumps, Fans & Blowers
  • Energy efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining SLA of the highest standards

Responsibilities

Availability Management

  • Ensure 24x7x365 uptime for Diesel Generators & their auxiliaries.

Maintenance Management

  • Prepare and execute maintenance schedules for Diesel Generator sets.
  • Monitor performance of the Managed Services vendor against defined SLAs.
  • Propose and implement energy optimization initiatives.

Materials Management

  • Manage spares inventory (own / VMI).

Technical Responsibilities

  • Operation & Maintenance of:
  • Electrical systems: 11 KV, 6.6 KV & 0.433 KV
  • Emergency Diesel Generator Sets (160 KVA to 3000 KVA)
  • Dynamic Rotary UPS System (DRUPS)
  • DG Battery Banks and Battery Chargers
  • Control systems for DG and DRUPS sets
  • HT & LT Panels, PCC, MCC, Power Distribution Panels, Lighting Distribution Boards
  • Protective relays and protection systems
  • Transformers (2.5 MVA to 12.5 MVA)
  • HT/LT Switchgears (11 KV / 6.6 KV VCBs & 0.433 KV ACBs)
  • Building Management System (BMS)

General Responsibilities

  • Conduct failure root cause analysis.
  • Train technicians and guide junior staff during emergencies.
  • Prepare MIS reports and maintain all records.
  • Control day-to-day activities and prepare shift schedules, preventive maintenance schedules, etc.
  • Manage diesel handling operations:
  • Loading/unloading diesel in main tanks.
  • Ensure auto operation of diesel day tank filling systems.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of maintained equipment.
  • Manage control, interlock, and protection systems.
  • Handle electrical and mechanical measurements using proper instruments.
  • Ensure smooth operation of emergency power systems.
  • Coordinate inter-site shutdowns for indoor/outdoor equipment.
  • Suggest and implement energy conservation schemes.
  • Develop and follow systems & procedures for maintenance (electrical & mechanical).
  • Apply preventive/predictive maintenance practices.
  • Utilize knowledge in vibration analysis, equipment lubrication, and hazardous area classification.
  • Handle shutdowns without service interruptions.
  • Monitor fire systems and coordinate with Fire Department during emergencies.
  • Attend breakdowns promptly and coordinate emergency responses.
  • Prepare work permits for maintenance and operational tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience: Hands-on experience with DG sets up to 3000 KVA.

Who Can Apply

  • Qualification: Diploma Engineers in Mechanical, Electrical, or related streams.
  • Experience: 5–6 years in Operations & Maintenance, specifically with DG sets.
