Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Purchasing Manager to join our team at the Bangalore Rural location. This full-time role demands strategic oversight of procurement processes, focusing on sourcing raw materials and managing supply chain dynamics to support our retail operations. The successful candidate will bring expertise in buying, procurement, and inventory management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in raw material sourcing, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
• Extensive knowledge in buying and procurement processes with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Strong proficiency in supply chain management to enhance and streamline organizational operations.
• Expertise in inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce holding costs.
• Familiarity with ERP systems to support seamless integration of procurement activities.
• Excellent negotiation skills to build and sustain beneficial supplier relationships.
• Ability to analyze market trends to forecast and address potential supply chain challenges effectively.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to oversee the purchasing department's activities and projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives for cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Oversee the selection and management of suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms of supply to meet company needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate demand and coordinate procurement plans accordingly.
• Monitor and analyze supply market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement operations.
• Manage the procurement budget, optimizing expenses and efficiency across purchasing activities.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance processes within the purchasing department for improved performance and outcomes.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
