DESIGNATION- MERCHANDISER (WORKWEAR)

INDUSTRY TYPE- TEXTILE (GARMENT MANUFACTURING)

Product Development:

 Collaborate with design and product development teams to create new garments based on buyer

specifications.

 Interpret and clarify buyer requirements, ensuring accurate communication to production teams.

 Manage sampling processes, including prototype, fit, and pre-production samples.

Order Management:

 Coordinate with buyers for order confirmations, approvals, and updates.

 Prepare and review production plan, ensuring alignment with buyer timelines.

 Monitor and track the progress of orders to ensure timely deliveries.

Sourcing and Vendor Management:

 Identify and develop relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors for fabric, trims, and

accessories.

 Negotiate pricing, lead times, and quality standards to meet production requirements.

 Oversee the procurement process to ensure materials meet quality and quantity standards.

Production Coordination:

 Work closely with production teams to address issues related to quality, capacity, and timelines.

 Conduct production planning meetings and follow-ups to ensure smooth workflow.

Quality Assurance:

 Ensure adherence to buyer-approved standards and specifications throughout the production cycle.

 Collaborate with quality control teams to identify and rectify issues at different stages.

Reporting and Documentation:

 Maintain accurate records of orders, approvals, and communications with buyers and suppliers.

 Prepare regular reports on production progress, challenges, and resolutions for management.

Team Leadership and Training:

 Guide and mentor junior merchandisers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

 Facilitate teamwork and collaboration among cross-functional departments.
