RAW MATERIALS

1. Ensure signed samples of all materials (leathers, linings, soles etc.) are available with

purchase and stores.

2. Check materials inward against approved samples and sign GRN’s

3. Ensure physical testing as specified is conducted in the in-house lab.

4. Ensure chemical testing is got done from approved labs as per Company norms.

PRODUCT

1. Actively participate and contribute to product adoption meetings for every new style.

2. Get feedback from production team on fit trials.

3. Get feedback from production team and approve knife / tooling trials.

4. Get show charts for cutting, skiving, closing and making prepared.

5. Ensure approved work samples are available in every department / conveyor.

6. Discuss and highlight key operations with the production teams in consultation with Product

Development, Product and merchandising teams

7. Coordinate with merchandiser to get the product tested as per customer requirements.

8. Coordinate with production and merchandising teams to send the Gold Seals / production

samples to the customers as per the schedule required

PRODUCTION

1. Prepare and finalize inspection points for each product in consultation with the Product

team

2. Ensure on-line inspectors as performing their duties as per the above and maintaining

prescribed records.

3. Check QC records on a bi-daily basis.

4. Prepare QC / Repair / Rejection report on a daily basis to be submitted to top management.

5. Based on the above findings discuss with the PD / production teams on amendments if any

to be made in the design / production process to control the same so that the figures are as

per the Company norms.

6. Conduct AQL of each and every plan as per the Company norms.

7. Maintain all prescribed records related to the above activities.

8. Report as per the scale above – 1 – Daily / 2. – Weekly or SOS
