Key Responsibilities:

• Develop ABAP applications for SAP systems, including reports, module pool programming, BDC programming, and interactive reports/forms.
• Implement Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts to improve application design and functionality.
• Design, develop, and maintain Function Modules (FM), RFC, BAPI, and Web Services to facilitate integration with other systems.
• Build and manage Smart Forms and Adobe Forms for various print layout requirements.
• Use BADI (Business Add-Ins) and User Exits to enhance SAP standard functionalities.
• Work with ABAP Web Dynpro to create rich, web-based applications and interfaces.
• Create and maintain ABAP Dictionary Objects (tables, views, data elements, domains, indexes, etc.).
• Analyze functional/technical specifications and translate them into effective ABAP development solutions.
• Debug programs, identify bug fixes, and resolve performance bottlenecks to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation according to BPCL's template and standards.
• Contribute to medium and large-scale projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality SAP solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant ABAP development experience with expertise in:
• Report programming
• Module pool programming
• BDC (Batch Data Communication)
• Interactive reports/forms
• OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) concepts
• In-depth knowledge of Function Modules (FM), RFC, BAPI, and Web Services.
• Strong experience with Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
• Extensive experience with BADI and User Exits for customizing SAP applications.
• Proficiency in ABAP Web Dynpro programming for developing web-based applications.
• Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining ABAP Dictionary objects (tables, views, domains, data elements, etc.).
• Ability to effectively debug programs, identify bug fixes, and optimize performance bottlenecks.
• Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and translate them into high-quality ABAP code.
• Experience in preparing technical documentation as per established templates and standards.
• Proven experience working on medium and large-scale SAP projects.

Desirable Skills:

• Exposure to SAP HANA and ABAP on HANA for high-performance computing.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and UI5 for modern web-based applications.
• Understanding of SAP integration technologies, including IDocs, BAPI, and RFC.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies or Scrum project management frameworks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in ABAP development with hands-on expertise in non-HR SAP modules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
