About the Role:
TechBlocks is hiring a skilled Backend QA Engineer with strong experience in database, ETL, and Big Data testing. This role involves validating large datasets, writing complex SQL scripts, and contributing to test automation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in CS/IT or related field.
- 6+ years in QA with a focus on database and ETL testing.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Big Data technologies.
- Knowledge of Python or any programming language.
- Familiar with Agile, test strategies, defect tracking, and documentation.
- Experience with automation frameworks is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases for backend systems and big data implementations
- Perform end-to-end testing of databases, data pipelines, and ETL workflows
- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and transformation
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance in enterprise applications
- Collaborate with developers and data engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Contribute to automation efforts and help maintain automation frameworks
- Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and uphold quality standards throughout the SDLC.
