Production Supervisor - Indo Amines Limited, Badlapur Plant

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing operations in our specialty chemicals production facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality production of fatty amines, surfactants, and performance chemicals. This role requires hands-on leadership to manage production teams, maintain safety compliance, and optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations:

• Supervise shift operations and coordinate daily production activities to meet targets
• Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and quality parameters
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and dispatch requirements
• Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance

Quality & Safety Management:

• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO standards, and safety regulations
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce PPE usage
• Monitor process parameters to maintain product quality standards
• Investigate and resolve production deviations promptly
• Implement HAZOP recommendations and safety protocols

Team Leadership:

• Lead, train, and mentor production operators and technicians
• Conduct shift briefings and performance evaluations
• Ensure proper staffing levels and skill development
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate production records, shift logs, and batch documentation
• Prepare daily production reports and KPI tracking
• Ensure proper documentation as per regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with QA/QC for product clearance

Required Qualifications

Education:

• ITI in Chemical/Process or Diploma/B.Sc in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
• Additional certifications in Process Safety Management preferred

Experience:

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in chemical manufacturing
• Experience in fatty amines, surfactants, or specialty chemicals preferred
• Knowledge of batch and continuous process operations
• Familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of chemical production processes and safety protocols
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and GMP requirements
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems for production reporting
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
