Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced L3 Technical Support Field Engineer with expertise in IT hardware troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with servers, firewalls, manageable switches, backups, virtual machines (VMs), wireless access points (APs), and structured networks. This role also involves handling escalated technical issues, providing both remote and on-site support, leading a team of engineers, offering technical guidance, and assisting in call allocations.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide L3-level technical support for hardware-related issues across servers, firewalls, storage, and networking devices.
● Lead and mentor a team of engineers, assisting them in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
● Support coordinators in call allocations and issue prioritization to ensure efficient service delivery.
● Diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex server, firewall, and network problems escalated from L1 and L2 teams.
● Configure, install, and maintain servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
● Minimize downtime by ensuring quick and effective resolution of critical IT issues.
● Maintain detailed documentation of technical issues, solutions, and troubleshooting procedures in the ticketing system.
Candidate Requirements:
● Experience: 7+ years in IT hardware support, including L3 troubleshooting.
● Education: Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, RHCE are preferred.
● Technical Skills:
○ Strong expertise in hardware troubleshooting (servers, storage, firewalls, backups, and networking).
○ Proficiency in Windows Server administration.
○ Knowledge of RAID configurations, virtualization, server setup, and cloud technologies.
○ Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewall configurations, and security best practices.
● Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and customer service orientation.
● Other: Willingness to travel for on-site support when required.
