Role Purpose Design & Development of precision class SHA machines

Qualification & Experience

Qualifications BE [MECHANICAL]

Experience 4 to 5 years

Skills/Competencies

1. Basic knowledge of Engg. Subjects: Strength of

materials, Material Science, Production

Technology, Machine design;

4. Must have exposure & experience in developing

a new product from design to manufacturing,

assembly and testing;

2. Strong knowledge of engineering mechanics,

strength of materials, machine design and

engineering concepts, pneumatics, hydraulics,

thermodynamics, Fluid machinery and its

applications. Basics of Ansys;

5. Team player must have good Inter-personal

skills; Good communication skills

3. Ability to handle new machine design projects

independently;

Perform design revision based on internal and field

feedback and its documentation;

DFMEA knowledge and its usage

Ability to perform basic hand calculation and

documentation;

Cost reduction projects;

Vendor interaction;

Hands on experience on CAD tools like CREO,

WindChill;

Hands on experience of ERP tools;

Strong Analytical skills

6. Requires good skills in change management,

problem solving, communication skills, customer

orientation, product technology, personal

effectiveness, project management, team skills and

quality.

Roles & Responsibilities

 Product knowledge:

>Understand and gain knowledge of CNC SHA series machines – Working principles

>Accessories and attachments

 New product design

 Sustenance of existing product through implementation of field feedback

 Calculations from first principles with reference to standard text books; Design Standards;

Technical and Manufacturer catalogues

 Component selection and vendor interaction

 Documentation of various calculations; sketching of ideas

 Hands on participation during Prototype development & Testing

 Technical Support to Servicing

 Effective interaction with other departments and decision making

 Customer interaction and customer & market driven product development

 Cost reduction projects

 Technical support marketing dept.
