Generative AI Internship - Agent Development & LLM Integration

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Generative AI Intern to join our AI research and development team at Isaii.

The selected candidate will work on building intelligent AI agents powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI GPT and Google Gemini, and gain hands-on experience with prompt engineering, vector databases, and tool/function calling.

This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals eager to explore the field of Generative AI, autonomous agents, and AI-driven automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, prototype, and implement Generative AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, and multi-step task execution.

Integrate and experiment with LLMs (OpenAI GPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.).

Develop and optimize prompts and prompt chains for various use cases.

Work with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, Weaviate) for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

Implement tool calling / function calling for connecting LLMs with external systems and APIs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and test innovative AI use cases.

Document workflows, architectures, and technical learnings throughout the internship.

Required Technical Skills

Proficiency in Python

Understanding of Generative AI concepts (LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, etc.)

Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, etc.)

Knowledge of Vector Databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, etc.)

Experience with Prompt Engineering and Prompt Optimization

Understanding of Tool Calling / Function Calling mechanisms

Basic knowledge of REST APIs and JSON

Bonus / Preferred Skills

Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI / AutoGen

Basic understanding of machine learning fundamentals

Familiarity with Git / version control systems

Exposure to cloud environments or deployment workflows

Preferred Background

B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field

Or equivalent hands-on experience with demonstrable projects or GitHub portfolio
