We're a YCombinator backed proptech startup (S21) aiming to disrupt the real estate investment space in India. We have recently raised our round of $1.2M and are expanding rapidly. In just under 12 months of operations, we're profitable, have over 15,000+ real estate investors and partnerships with top banks and wealth managers like Motilal Oswal, ICICI wealth etc.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Data Science Engineer to join us in our vision to create the largest Real Estate transaction marketplace of the country. Ideal candidate for us is someone who is driven, has an entrepreneurial mindset and has worked on Marketplaces previously.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

● Mine, analyze and clean data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

● Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

● Develop custom data models and algorithms to create product recommendations.

● Identify new data sources and create pipelines to extract and transform data sets.

● Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.

EXPERIENCE

● Experience working on advanced data scraping techniques.

● Experience working on solving recommender problems in a marketplace.

● Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on extracting data insights.

● Working knowledge of advanced ML stacks like Tensorflow, Apache, PySpark, Hadoop etc.

● Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.

● Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts is preferred (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.

● A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
