Job Title: Business Analyst
Job Summary: We are looking for a data-driven Business Analyst who has experience with large datasets and conducting quantitative analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and expertise in creating actionable insights to improve business outcomes. This role focuses on root cause analysis, reporting, and building productized analytics solutions to improve business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structured Problem Solving: Identify and solve open-ended business problems using data-backed analysis and appropriate tools.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Extract and analyze data to identify trends, evaluate product performance, and present insights via Power BI, Gsheets, and dashboards.
- Root Cause & Deep Dive Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis of product issues and run ad hoc data extractions to meet business requests.
- Business Metrics: Evaluate and track key metrics aligned with business goals, build data models, and identify other relevant metrics to provide a deeper understanding.
- Operational Reporting: Build templates, maintain reports, and present insights in weekly forums for both management and operational teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 1-3 years of working with large datasets, performing quantitative analysis, data modelling, and business modelling.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Intermediate knowledge of Python, and intermediate data manipulation. Data modelling, and expertise in building dashboards using Power BI or other dashboarding tools. Prior experience with statistical models (hypothesis testing, A/B testing, regressions) is a plus. Industry Knowledge: Experience with e-commerce or the fashion industry is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Quick learner comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with multiple projects and multiple stakeholders.
