Job Description: Senior Business Development Executive: Develop and foster relationship with the customer/clients, to think strategically, should be effective in carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes, drawing up client contracts, effectively discuss promotional strategy and activities with the team, seek ways of improving the way the business operates

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • · Research and identify new business opportunities and projects – including new markets strategies, growth areas, recent trends, customers, partnerships and ownerships, and services – or new ways of reaching existing market strategies.
  • · Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • · Should be comfortable to meet with customers and clients face to face or over the phone
  • · Develop opportunities in target markets with the support of the marketing team
  • · Nurturing and developing relationships with key customer accounts.
  • · Providing specialist advice on the services we are offering
  • · Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients
  • · Find ways to develop new services to better meet the needs of existing markets. Once these avenues are explored and charted, a business development executive will need to find ways to use this to maximize profits.
  • · Coordinate with customer, internal coordination with operation team, documentation team, accounts team & transportation team on the services implementation
  • · Should be able to foster and develop relationships with customers/clients by understanding the customers’ requirements and be able to respond to them effectively with a plan for how to meet them.
  • · Seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and goals and objectives to develop and improve the business as per the demands.
  • · Should be effective in carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes.
  • · Should be successful in drawing up client contracts
  • · Should also know the business’s services and advise others about them.
  • · They should effectively discuss promotional strategy and activities with the department.
  • · Should seek ways of improving the way the business operates.
  • · Should keep abreast of recent trends and changes in the business world.
  • · Should help to plan sales campaigns and create a sales pipeline and increase sales of the business

  • · Should be able to negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases
  • · Should carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management/the board of directors
  • · Should develop the business sales and marketing strategy.
  • · They need to attend seminars, conferences, and industry events where appropriate. Training business development staff and arranging training where appropriate
