Position-Mining Manager

Job Overview

The Mining Manager is a senior, full-time position based in Kurnool, responsible for overseeing all aspects of gold mining operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience and a proven ability to manage complex mining projects, with a strong emphasis on leadership and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in gold mining operations and management (Mandatory skill), with a track record of success in mid to large-scale gold mining projects.
• Proficiency in mine planning, including resource estimation, scheduling, and optimizing extraction processes to maximize output and efficiency.
• Strong focus on risk assessment practices to identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational and safety risks inherent to mining environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety compliance standards, regulations, and best practices, ensuring a safe and compliant worksite at all times.
• Exceptional team leadership abilities, demonstrated by managing diverse teams and motivating staff to achieve production and safety targets.
• Solid background in operations management, including monitoring key performance indicators and implementing process improvements across mining functions.
• Must possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to deliver clear directives, resolve challenges, and drive team performance.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, external consultants, and regulatory agencies in the execution of project objectives and compliance mandates.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all gold mining activities on site, ensuring adherence to production schedules and safety standards.
• Develop mine plans and schedules, optimizing utilization of resources and equipment to achieve operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits, implementing corrective actions and fostering a culture of safety compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the mining team, establishing clear performance goals, conducting evaluations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with engineering, geological, and environmental teams to achieve project milestones, manage environmental impact, and sustain regulatory compliance.
• Monitor operational costs, budget requirements, and resource utilization, identifying opportunities to optimize expenditures and reduce waste.
• Prepare and present regular reports on mine performance, productivity, safety statistics, and project updates to upper management and stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely permits, licenses, and adherence to all statutory obligations relevant to mining operations.
