Position Overview:


We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Head of Quality to lead our 500 Bedded Multi-Specialty hospital’s Quality, Accreditation, and Patient Safety programs at Bangalore. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving JCI and NABH audits, overseeing compliance, and embedding a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization. The role reports directly to the Chief Executive (CE).


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Quality Leadership:

Develop and execute the hospital-wide Quality & Safety strategy aligned with best clinical and operational practices.


Advise the Chief Executive and senior leadership team on all matters related to quality, accreditation, and patient safety.


Accreditation & Compliance (JCI & NABH Focus):

Lead, manage, and drive end-to-end preparation, execution, and sustenance of JCI and NABH audits.


Ensure continuous compliance with all accreditation standards through audits, gap assessments, corrective actions, and documentation.


Coordinate with all departments to maintain readiness for unannounced and planned accreditation inspections.


Quality Management Systems (QMS):

Oversee hospital-wide implementation and adherence to QMS including SOPs, clinical audits, and internal quality benchmarks.


Conduct internal audits, RCAs, and risk assessments and track closure of non-conformities.


Patient Safety & Clinical Governance:

Establish and monitor patient safety indicators, infection control protocols, incident reporting, and clinical quality dashboards.


Chair or co-chair quality-related committees such as Safety, Infection Control, and Clinical Audit.


Training & Capacity Building:

Design and deliver training programs on NABH/JCI standards, patient safety, and quality systems.


Build awareness and accountability across clinical, paramedical, and support functions.


Reporting & Analytics:

Develop and present monthly and quarterly quality dashboards to the CE and senior management.


Analyze trends, identify systemic gaps, and propose improvement plans backed by data.


Qualifications & Experience:

Education: MBBS / BDS / B.Sc. Nursing / Allied Health background with a Master's in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or equivalent. Certification in CPHQ or Six Sigma (preferred).


Experience:


12–15 years of progressive experience in Healthcare Quality.


Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with hands-on experience in managing NABH and JCI audits in 300+ bedded hospitals.


Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in JCI and NABH standards, audit processes, and accreditation lifecycle management


Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through compliance, documentation, and corrective action cycles


Deep knowledge of clinical quality metrics, QMS, and patient safety frameworks


Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills


Analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into actionable improvements
