Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented DFx Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the design and manufacturing processes are optimized for quality, reliability, testability, manufacturability, and serviceability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence designs, implement DFx methodologies, and deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and robust products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze designs to identify areas for improvement in manufacturability, testability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide actionable feedback to design teams based on DFx principles and guidelines.
• Work closely with design, manufacturing, test, and quality teams to ensure designs meet DFx standards throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive design reviews with a focus on DFx requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and implement DFT strategies, including scan insertion, built-in self-test (BIST), boundary scan, and test point insertion.
• Collaborate with test engineering teams to define test plans and ensure efficient fault coverage.
• Perform reliability analysis to predict and enhance product longevity.
• Implement solutions to address thermal, electrical, and mechanical reliability concerns.
• Develop and maintain DFx guidelines, checklists, and best practices.
• Advocate for the adoption of advanced tools and methodologies to enhance DFx processes.
• Analyze field returns, test data, and manufacturing feedback to identify and address design-related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in DFx engineering, product design, or a related role.
• Good understanding of DFx strategies (JTAG, IJTAG, MBIST, Boundary Scan)
• Excellent scripting skills (Perl/Python).
• Proficient in debugging RTL code using simulation tools
• Proficient in using UVM/SV testbenches and working in Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong experience with Digital design, Verilog, System Verilog and C++
• Working knowledge with EDA simulation tools including Synopsys VCS & Verdi.
