Job Overview

PSGR Krishnammal College for Women is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Professor of Computer Science for a full-time, mid-level position at our Coimbatore campus. The candidate should possess a minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The candidate will play a vital role in teaching, research, and mentoring within the computer science department, contributing to our tradition of academic excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong foundation in computer science principles with at least a master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a higher education institution is required for application.
• Experience in curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate courses (Mandatory skill).
• Proven track record of research publications in reputable academic journals (Mandatory skill).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and colleagues effectively.
• Competency in academic mentoring and guiding students in their educational journey (Mandatory skill).
• Substantial knowledge in machine learning and its application within various domains of computer science.
• Understanding and implementation experience in cybersecurity practices and protocols to ensure student and institutional safety online.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence and its educational methodologies to enrich the teaching experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical classes in computer science and related fields.
• Participate in the creation and updating of academic curriculum to maintain educational standards.
• Conduct research and publish findings to contribute to the academic community and enhance institutional prestige.
• Guide and mentor students in their academic endeavors and career planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and engage in departmental meetings, committees, and curricular improvements.
