Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of import documentation and procedures, along with expertise in procurement management. As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations, managing procurement processes, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle import documentation and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Liaise with vendors to establish and maintain strong relationships, leveraging negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and pricing.
• Take ownership of procurement responsibilities and demonstrate the ability to manage procurement independently.
• Utilize experience with chemicals to effectively procure necessary materials while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Leverage existing talent and vendor contacts from previous workplaces to enhance procurement operations.
• Drive value-addition initiatives within the company through strategic procurement practices.
• Demonstrate adaptability and a fast-learning mindset to effectively navigate dynamic logistical and procurement landscapes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and procurement roles, with a focus on import documentation and procedures.
• Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written. • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to liaise effectively with vendors.
• Proven track record of delivering results and creating value within previous roles.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
• Experience with chemicals procurement is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and learn new processes.
• Preference for candidates comfortable with company-provided housing and transportation arrangements, including shared apartment living in a vegetarian household.
