Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Underwriter SME/NBFC to join our team at GetVantage. As a Credit Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating creditworthiness, analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in credit underwriting for SMEs and NBFCs
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• In-depth knowledge of credit risk assessment and regulatory requirements
• Ability to interpret financial statements and credit reports
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the creditworthiness of SMEs and NBFCs
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to make informed decisions
• Conduct risk assessments, including collateral valuation and industry analysis
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and make credit decisions
• Prepare credit proposals and present recommendations to senior management
• Monitor credit portfolio and identify potential risks and delinquencies
• Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters
