Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchase Executive in the manufacturing sector to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions. This is a full-time, mid-level position based in Hyderabad, requiring 4 to 6 years of work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes and optimizing cost efficiencies within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong knowledge of supplier relationship management (Mandatory skill), with experience in nurturing and maintaining long-term business relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement analytics (Mandatory skill) to evaluate supplier performance and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Expertise in cost reduction strategies (Mandatory skill) to optimize procurement spend and improve profitability.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems to streamline purchasing tasks and improve efficiency in supply chain operations.
- Proficient in Ariba software to enhance procurement processes, from vendor selection to invoice management.
- Exceptional negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing with suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong inventory management capabilities to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce wastage.
- Competency in contract management to draft, evaluate, and monitor agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to streamline procurement activities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and qualify potential suppliers to expand the organization's supply base and diversify sourcing options.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiations to secure optimal pricing, terms, and quality of goods and services.
- Monitor and analyze procurement budgets, identifying opportunities for cost reductions without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and logistics, to forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier performance, contracts, and purchase orders for audit and reporting purposes.
- Resolve any issues arising from procurement activities, including delivery delays, payment discrepancies, or vendor non-compliance.
- Regularly review and update procurement processes and practices to reflect changes in market conditions and business needs.
