Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hostel Warden to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining safety, discipline, and smooth operations within the hostel environment, ensuring a comfortable and secure living experience for residents.

Qualifications and Skills

• must have a minimum of 4 years proven experience in hostel management or a similar role ensuring student or resident welfare
• experience in security operations mandatory skill with a solid understanding of safety protocols and emergency response procedures
• discipline management mandatory skill with the ability to enforce rules and regulations in a fair and consistent manner
• strong record keeping mandatory skill with competency in maintaining accurate records and reports of hostel activities
• proficient in team leadership, capable of directing and supervising hostel staff to ensure high standards of service
• conflict resolution skills with the ability to mediate disputes and handle resident issues effectively and diplomatically
• facility management skills, including overseeing maintenance and ensuring a clean and organized living environment
• emergency response knowledge, able to confidently handle and coordinate actions in emergency situations to ensure resident safety

Roles and Responsibilities

• oversee all day-to-day operations of the hostel to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents
• maintain and enforce hostel rules and regulations to ensure discipline and order within the premises
• supervise and manage hostel staff, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance evaluations
• conduct regular inspections of facilities and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements with relevant authorities
• handle resident queries, complaints, and conflicts promptly and efficiently, ensuring a harmonious living experience
• implement and manage emergency procedures and safety drills to prepare staff and residents for potential emergencies
• prepare and maintain all necessary records and documentation pertaining to hostel operations and resident welfare
• collaborate with management and stakeholders to continually improve hostel services and facilities
