Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer specializing in UPS and Batteries for a full-time position based in Visakhapatnam. This mid-level role requires candidates to have 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in UPS systems, battery maintenance, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience with UPS Systems and demonstrated expertise in Battery Maintenance (Mandatory skill).
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Preventive Maintenance techniques and best practices (Mandatory skill).
• In-depth knowledge of Power Distribution systems and the ability to manage complex power setups effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Proficient in Electrical Wiring, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to maintain and document service records accurately for all UPS and battery-related tasks and interventions.
• Capability to perform routine checks and ensure optimal performance of all equipment under your charge.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct field service visits to client locations to install, maintain, and repair UPS systems and associated battery units.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance checks to ensure the uninterrupted operation of UPS and battery systems.
• Diagnose electrical issues, conduct troubleshooting, and develop effective solutions to restore system functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance service protocols and improve maintenance processes.
• Maintain detailed reports and documentation regarding service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing inquiries and offering training when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry safety standards during all service operations.
• Stay updated with technological advancements related to UPS systems and battery management to provide cutting-edge solutions.
