Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. The Banquet Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing banquet events, working closely with clients to deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences.
Qualifications and Skills
- Candidates must have at least 4 to 6 years of experience in banquet management or a related field with proven leadership skills.
- Proficiency in menu coordination; the ability to work closely with culinary teams to create and plan diverse menu offerings (Mandatory skill).
- Demonstrated expertise in event planning with the ability to effectively organize and execute large-scale events (Mandatory skill).
- Strong salesmanship abilities with a track record of successful upselling techniques to enhance client experience and revenue (Mandatory skill).
- Experience in vendor management to ensure quality and cost-effective third-party services and supplies.
- Capability to supervise and manage staff across different banquet services ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Proven budgeting skills with the ability to manage financial aspects of events, including cost controls and expense tracking.
- Exceptionally skilled in problem solving, able to anticipate issues and implement effective solutions efficiently.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of all banquet events, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with clients to understand their requirements and tailor services to meet their specific needs.
- Oversee menu design in collaboration with chefs, ensuring diverse and appealing food options for all events.
- Liaise with vendors to secure top-quality service and supplies for events, negotiating terms and contracts as necessary.
- Manage and supervise banquet staff, providing training and support to maintain high performance standards.
- Implement effective budget management practices to ensure events remain within financial constraints without compromising quality.
- Develop strategies for upselling services and products to expand revenue opportunities during banquet services.
- Proactively address and resolve any issues or complaints during events to ensure positive client experiences.
