Job Overview

We are hiring a Medical Coder to join our team at FLY Consulting Services. As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for healthcare claims. This position is full-time and requires 1 to 3 years of experience. The job location is Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Qualifications and Skills

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Coder
• CPC certification is required
• Strong knowledge of medical coding systems and procedures
• Familiarity with Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding
• Proficiency in CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) and CPT codes
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

Roles and Responsibilities

• Accurately assign medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services for healthcare claims
• Review and analyze medical records, reports, and documentation to ensure accurate coding
• Follow coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnosis or procedure details
• Perform audits and quality assurance checks to ensure accurate coding and billing practices
• Stay updated on the latest coding guidelines, industry changes, and regulations
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical coding practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve coding processes and accuracy
• Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed
