Job Overview

Expertia AI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant for its Mumbai location. This is a full-time position requiring 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance to support the company's strategic objectives.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven expertise in financial reporting (Mandatory skill), including preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual statements in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis to interpret complex data, guide business decision-making, and optimize financial performance.
  • Extensive experience in account reconciliation, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner for accurate financial records.
  • Comprehensive understanding of budgeting, including developing, monitoring, and managing budgets to support organizational goals.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the month-end close process to deliver accurate and timely financial results.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling clear and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance across all company locations.
  • Coordinate and execute timely month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives in collaboration with department heads to support business planning and performance tracking.
  • Oversee account reconciliation processes, identifying and addressing variances to maintain integrity of the general ledger.
  • Monitor adherence to GAAP, company policies, and internal controls, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis for senior management, providing insights that inform company strategy and growth.
  • Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits, ensuring prompt resolution of all findings and recommendations.
  • Drive process improvements in accounting procedures to increase efficiency and maintain the highest level of accuracy in financial reporting.
