The Opportunity: We are looking for a Compliance & Legal team member. This role involves comprehensive support in fund compliances, transaction support and ESG reviews.

Primary Responsibilities:

1.    Compliance

• Ensuring compliance of the funds with various statutes, esp. SEBI AIF regulations, RBI guidelines, including timely submissions, disclosures and reporting
• Reviewing and guiding portfolio companies on regulatory, and corporate governance compliance, disseminating best practices and updates as needed
• Tracking regulatory changes and implementing policy or process updates as required

2.    Transaction support

• Program management of investment, divestment and other transactions across portfolio companies, including due diligence, documentation, closing, compliance tracking
• Monitoring and reviewing of various pre and post transaction activities, including necessary documentation, updation of fund management platform etc.

3.    ESG reviews

• Implementing ESG policies, periodic monitoring across the portfolio companies and regular reporting to stakeholders
• Enhancing governance policies for the fund periodically

Requirements:

• Qualified CS or LLB or CA
• 3-5 yrs of prior experience, preferably at funds or legal firms
• Good understanding of Indian funds, compliances, transaction process, ESG frameworks
• Experience with fast-paced, high-growth entrepreneurial environments
• Proactive learner with ability to interpret evolving regulations
• Self-motivated individual with a results-driven mindset and possessing strong documentation management and communication skills.
