As the Principal of EASA College of Engineering and Technology, you will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, strategic direction, and academic excellence to ensure the overall success and growth of the institution. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will oversee all aspects of academic, administrative, and operational functions, with a focus on fostering innovation, promoting quality education, and enhancing student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives aligned with the institution's mission, vision, and values. Provide visionary leadership to inspire faculty, staff, and students towards achieving academic excellence and institutional growth.
  2. Academic Excellence: Ensure the delivery of high-quality academic programs and curricula that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of innovation, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  3. Faculty and Staff Management: Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff members to maintain a competent and motivated workforce. Promote professional development opportunities and recognize outstanding contributions to academic and institutional advancement.
  4. Student Engagement and Support: Promote a student-centric environment that emphasizes student success, engagement, and holistic development. Implement student support services, counseling programs, and extracurricular activities to enhance the overall student experience.
  5. Curriculum Development: Review and update academic curricula, course offerings, and educational resources to ensure relevance, currency, and alignment with industry trends and technological advancements. Encourage innovation in teaching methodologies and instructional delivery modes.
  6. Accreditation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and government regulations related to academic programs, facilities, and student services. Coordinate accreditation processes and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, parents, alumni, industry partners, government agencies, and accrediting bodies. Represent the institution at public events, conferences, and professional associations.
  8. Financial Management: Develop and manage the institution's budget, financial resources, and fundraising initiatives to support academic programs, infrastructure development, and institutional sustainability. Monitor revenue streams, expenditure patterns, and financial performance indicators.
  9. Infrastructure and Facilities: Oversee the maintenance, renovation, and expansion of campus facilities, laboratories, libraries, and other infrastructure assets to create a conducive learning environment and ensure safety and security for all stakeholders.
  10. Community Engagement: Foster community outreach programs, industry collaborations, and partnerships with local organizations to promote social responsibility, civic engagement, and sustainable development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of academic leadership experience, including administrative roles in higher education institutions.
  • Proven track record of academic excellence, research accomplishments, and scholarly publications in relevant areas.
  • Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in higher education administration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Visionary thinking, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in educational leadership.
