About the opportunity:
CSG is excited to announce that we are expanding our delivery teams in Bangalore. These teams are responsible for delivering complex BSS solutions for CSG’s Charging, Billing and Customer Management systems Singleview. An exciting opportunity currently exists for an Architect with extensive software development experience to join our growing Services team.
POSITION: Architect– Single View
As an Architect in DWMS Services, you will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team developing, delivering, and managing solutions for different Telecom operators in the world with one or many CSG Product portfolios Singleview, Total Service Mediation, Wholesale billing, PCRF, SCP, etc. You will leverage industry best practices and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, test automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
What will you do?
Provides overall technical leadership for architecture solutions involving a major product or implementation step, which may include research and technical investigation, ensuring end-to-end functionality of the software is within the scope of business needs. Translate customer requirements into software specifications. Defines methodology, processes, and quality assurance requirements. Recommends and ensures compliance with standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provides technical leadership and accountability for the design and implementation of a major product or subsystem in a solution.
• Ensures technical viability of solutions as defined in the Statement of Work and subsequent change requests, identifying, resolving, and mitigating technical issues and risks.
• Creates and/or validates work estimates and skills required to assist the lead architect and project management with task scheduling and resource requests.
• Coordinates with development and test teams to keep the deliverables on target and on time.
• Manages technical customer interactions from kick-off through UAT.
• Guide customer(s) through the requirements gathering, designing, and documentation process within a specific domain area while fitting within the OSS/BSS infrastructure, and making the best use of company product offerings.
• Coaches and mentors other project members to increase their understanding of the customer and technology.
• Provides feedback to the solution engineering team for improvements, market trends, and product issues.
• Pursues knowledge of upcoming product features as they are made known or released
• Responsible for the development, testing, and monitor all technical-related aspects of our solution delivery and involve in design as required.
• Develop & deliver complex/large-scale solutions to customers around the world.
• Use our products configuration layer to write code/ create different entities using the standard technology/ product layer.
• Optimize algorithms, develop, review code, debug, performance tune code, and document.
• Lead a team of developers/testers or act as a technical lead for a project including assisting architects in preparing the FDD, requirement, and design documents.
• Assists in Release Management, Configuration Management, Build Management, Stream Management, and Ticket Management as required.
• Coaches and mentors other project members to increase their understanding of the customer and technology.
• Mentors less experienced staff and consults with peers.
• Development features, defect fixes, and communication with the customer on issues. Regularly consults the senior members of the team and architects.
• Write automation-oriented code to validate the functionality of your deliveries.
• You will work collaboratively with other CSG delivery teams located in different geographies
Mandatory Skills:
• Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Have at least 10+ years of technical experience in product development, and/or product implementation.
• Subject matter expert for one or more CSG products and implementation steps. • Knowledge of CSG’s product portfolio.
• An Expert in the analysis and troubleshooting of software systems.
• Experience/Knowledge of Singleview, Telecom Billing, and Charging.
• Experience/Knowledge of Singleview Configuration layer /EPM.
• Experience in working with large data volumes.
• Knowledge of SQL and particularly Oracle SQL and retrieving complex information from the database.
• Have worked on a large multi-location telecom implementation project
• Experience in any code repository/version control systems. e.g.: CVS, GIT, SVN, etc.
• Experience/Knowledge in telecom OSS/BSS domain.
• Knowledge of telecom networks GSM/ CDMA, billing solutions, rating and charging systems, CRM, Retail Billing - Pre-paid and Post-paid billing, Interconnect Billing
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Able to communicate and influence at all levels effectively.
• Demonstrate good programming ability in any Programming language (C++, C#, Java)
• Experience in at least one scripting language, such as Shell/PowerShell/Python/Perl.
• Experience in any SQL/No-SQL database.
• Working knowledge of the Unix and various application configurations and production support
• Open to working on any programming language/technology as per the product/solution needs.
• Worked in Waterfall/ Agile / Lean / SaFe • Senior design experience in UNIX and database application
