Position: Genetic Counselor

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Genetic Counselor to provide genetic risk assessment, counseling, and education to patients and families in a diagnostic healthcare setting. The role requires strong knowledge of genetic testing, interpretation of results, and effective patient communication to support informed medical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze family, medical, and genetic histories to assess risk of inherited conditions.
• Counsel patients and families on genetic testing options, implications, and outcomes.
• Interpret genetic test results and communicate findings in a patient-friendly manner.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients dealing with genetic conditions.
• Collaborate with diagnostic laboratory teams and physicians for test selection and interpretation.
• Ensure patient confidentiality, ethical counseling practices, and accurate record-keeping.
• Stay updated on new developments in genetic counseling and diagnostic technology.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Doctorate in Genetic Counseling or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in genetic counseling, preferably in a diagnostic or healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of genetic testing methods and interpretation.
• Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
