Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Rebar Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings for steel reinforcement in concrete structures, ensuring compliance with design plans and project specifications. The role requires collaboration with engineers, architects, and construction teams to deliver accurate and efficient detailing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed drawings for rebar placement in construction projects.
• Interpret and review construction blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements and industry standards (e.g., ACI, CRSI).
• Calculate material quantities and prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to address design challenges.
• Communicate design changes and updates effectively with the project team.
• Utilize detailing software such as AutoCAD, REVIT and CADS RC
• Stay updated with advancements in rebar detailing technology and practices.
• Ensure timely project completion while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
• Provide assistance to junior team members in their day-to-day tasks, offering guidance and support to enhance overall team efficiency.
• Take a leadership role in maintaining the highest quality standards for work, actively seeking innovative solutions to improve modeling processes.
• Take a proactive stance in identifying and resolving potential project issues, leading efforts to propose and implement effective solutions.
• Thoroughly document project files to ensure clarity and organization for future reference.
• Direct responsibilities given during the course of time by managers.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and drawings.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for material calculations.
• Hands-on experience with rebar detailing tools and software like AutoCAD, REVIT and CADS RC.
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ACI, CRSI, BS).
• Familiarity with reinforcing steel fabrication, installation, and construction practices.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing shop drawings and BBS.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with project teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Gulf, International projects and standards.
• Certification or training in rebar detailing or structural drafting.
