Job Description Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager at Concepts Hygiene in Ahmedabad. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing production schedules and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. They will also oversee safety protocols, manage inventory levels, and work with cross-functional teams to continually improve processes and drive results. Production Planning and Scheduling:<ul><li>Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.</li><li>Coordinate with other departments such as sales, procurement, and logistics to ensure alignment of production plans with overall business objectives.</li></ul> Team Leadership and Management:<ul><li>Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians.</li><li>Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement training and development plans as needed.</li></ul> Quality Assurance and Process Improvement:<ul><li>Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.</li><li>Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.</li><li>Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.</li></ul> Resource Allocation and Optimization:<ul><li>Manage production resources including manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.</li><li>Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components to support production requirements.</li><li>Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal utilization.</li></ul> Health, Safety, and Compliance:<ul><li>Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.</li><li>Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.</li><li>Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.</li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 3 to 5 years of Experience required in production management and scheduling within the FMCG or packaging industry preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of safety protocols and inventory management</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills</li><li>Excellent communication and leadership skills</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field</li><li>Experience in the consumer goods industry is a plus</li><li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus</li></ul>
