Designation - QA test Engineer

Experience - 3-5 Years

Job Location - Chennai

Notice Period - Immediate to 15 Days only

JD For QA

2–5 years of experience in web application testing (ERP experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of:

1. Must be QA Certified from any reputed certifications.
2. Test case design (positive/negative/edge cases)
3. Defect life cycle, severity vs priority
4. Regression and release testing
5. Experience testing:
6. Role-based access control (RBAC)
7. Forms, validations, workflows, approvals
8. Reports, dashboards, exports
9. Good understanding of SQL for validation (basic joins, filters, aggregates).
10. Familiarity with QA documentation: Test Plan, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Bug Reports, RTM.
11. Strong communication to collaborate with dev + business teams.

Detailed Description:

1. Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and traceability against requirements/user stories.
2. Perform manual testing: functional, UI, workflow, negative, boundary, and role-based access (RBAC) testing.
3. Test the following in the application workflow - Approvals, reversals, corrections, recurring entries (where applicable)
4. Role permissions across Admin/Manager/Employee workflows
5. Perform regression testing for every sprint/release and maintain regression suites.
6. Log defects with clear steps, screenshots, expected vs actual, severity/priority, and support developers in reproduction.
7. Validate reports and exports (filters, totals, drilldowns, date ranges, CSV/Excel exports)
8. Validate data accuracy at UI and DB level (where access is allowed), including calculations and postings.
9. Conduct UAT support: help business users test, capture feedback, and confirm fixes.
10. Participate in sprint ceremonies: refinement, planning, demos, release readiness.

Good to have:

1. Automation exposure (any): Selenium / Playwright / Cypress.
2. API testing: Postman, validating requests/responses, auth tokens, status codes.
3. Performance/basic load awareness (e.g., slow screens, heavy reports).
4. Experience with ERP/Finance concepts (helpful):
5. Experience with Agile tools: Jira/Azure DevOps, test management tools.
