Job Title: .NET Developer – Migration Engineer

Experience Level: 4-6 years

Work Timing : 8pm to 4am

Job location : Chennai (Remote)

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled .NET Developer (Migration Engineer) to support application

modernization and data migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-

on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies, API integration, and database migrations.

You will be responsible for analyzing legacy systems, designing migration strategies, and

implementing scalable .NET solutions to ensure smooth transition to modern platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing legacy systems and define migration strategies to .NET Core or

newer frameworks.

• Develop, test, and deploy .NET applications as part of system migration or

modernization projects.

• Design and implement data migration and integration workflows between legacy

databases and new systems.

• Implement and administer infrastructure automation.

• Create ETL-like migration tools and manage their execution.

• Work closely with architects and business analysts to understand functional and

technical requirements.

• Refactor existing code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Ensure smooth data mapping, transformation, and validation during migration.

• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams for CI/CD and automated deployment.

• Collaborate with the development teams to understand future infrastructure needs

and drive engineering roadmap to improve efficiency and overall system

architecture.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application and migration-related issues.

• Document migration plans, technical processes, and post-migration verification

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET MVC/Web

API.

• Experience in application migration (legacy systems to modern .NET or cloud

environments).

• Experience building ETL tooling or similar migration/integration-oriented tools.

• Experience with one or more infrastructure automation systems such as Chef,

Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.

• Experience operating in or alongside an agile process to deliver SaaS software.

• Willingness and ability to document both infrastructure and tooling necessary to

operate a production environment.

• Good understanding of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL) and

data migration techniques.

• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

• Knowledge of Azure or AWS migration tools is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
