PL/SQL and Unix scripting

Overall 7 years of experience in PL/SQL

5+ years of proven experience with the analysis, planning, design, implementation, upgrade and migration of applications hosted on

Solaris and/or Red Hat Linux;

2+ years of successfully demonstrated experience with Unix shell scripting, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL*Loader;

Responsible for all aspects of backend (database) development under the guidance/direction of subject matter and technical experts

Prepare the PL/SQL Requirements and Design documents Participate in meetings and discussions with Functional/Technical Leads to understand the requirements and work out a design Interpret the requirements and build Logical and Physical Relational Data Models

Write/maintain SQL and PL/SQL stored program units/packages and maintain coding standards.

Experience in Query optimization, debugging, and performance tuning for improving performance.

Write unit tests (document and code) for the PL/SQL stored program units/packages Participate in code reviews and ensure the code written complies with best practices

Continue enhancing own PL/SQL skills on new practices, frameworks and standards

Mentor other PL/SQL developers in enhancing their skills Present technical analysis to internal and external clients Support Production Operations as necessary

Experience in migration projects will be an added advantage
