JOB ROLE: DEVOPS ENGINEER

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a proven track record in both developing and operating production environments. This role is pivotal in managing, automating, and enhancing the infrastructure necessary for flawless production operations and deployment, with a strong emphasis on stability and zero escalation.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and optimize cloud-based and on-premises production environments to guarantee high availability and performance of applications.

Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent and reliable production environments.

Design and implement robust containerized solutions using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes to streamline production deployments.

Establish and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines focused on production stability and quick recovery mechanisms.

Proactively monitor production systems to detect and resolve issues before they impact services, ensuring no escalations occur.

Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and security practices to safeguard production environments.

Work closely with development and operations teams to foster a preventive maintenance culture and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in cloud computing and DevOps are highly desirable.

Minimum 5-6 years of experience in a DevOps engineering role with significant exposure to production support and environment stability.

Expertise in managing both cloud and on-premises infrastructures, especially with major providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other container management solutions.

Profound knowledge and hands-on experience with Terraform for automating production infrastructure.

Advanced skills in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Strong experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines tailored for production stability.

Proficient in scripting languages like Python and Linux shell scripting for automation purposes.

Solid understanding of advanced monitoring, logging, and security protocols.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a track record of managing production environments with zero escalations.

Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
