A sales executive sells products or services for a company. They may work in the field or from an office. 

Responsibilities

• Identify potential customers: Research the market and competition to find out about potential customers 
• Build relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers 
• Make presentations: Demonstrate products and services to potential customers 
• Close deals: Negotiate on price, quantities, and specifications to close deals 
• Provide customer service: Check in with customers to ensure they are satisfied 
• Meet sales targets: Generate new sales and maintain relationships with existing customers  sales executives
• Field sales executives: Work in a territory and report to a regional sales manager 
• Inside sales executives: Work from an office and use phones, emails, and other virtual communication tools to connect with customers
