Job Title: Fiber Laser Cutting Machine Engineer

Department: Sr Service Engineer

Location: Faridabad, Delhi & Vadodara. 

Reports To: Service Head

Job Summary:

The Fiber Laser Cutting Machine Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fiber laser cutting machines. The role requires strong technical skills, hands-on experience, and the ability to train operators and ensure optimal machine performance for quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation & Programming

• Operate fiber laser cutting machines as per production requirements.
• Create and optimize CNC cutting programs for different materials and thicknesses.
• Ensure proper machine setup, alignment, and calibration.

1. Installation & Commissioning

• Install and commission new fiber laser machines at customer or plant sites.
• Conduct performance testing and ensure machines meet specified parameters.

1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and optical system issues.
• Replace consumables (nozzles, lenses, protective windows) and maintain spare parts inventory.

1. Quality Control

• Inspect cut quality and make necessary adjustments to parameters.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards (ISO / company guidelines).

1. Customer Support & Training

• Provide training to operators and maintenance teams on machine usage and safety.
• Offer remote and on-site technical support to customers.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain service logs, machine history records, and calibration reports.
• Report breakdown causes and recommend improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• Experience:
• Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in fiber laser cutting machines up to 12 KW to 30 KW(operation, maintenance, or service).
• Experience with brands like Bystronic, Amada, Trump, Han’s Laser,  Bodor , etc. is an advantage.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, nesting software).
• Understanding of laser optics, assist gases (oxygen, nitrogen, air), and cutting parameters.
• Basic PLC knowledge and ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Soft Skills:
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel for on-site service and support.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during urgent breakdowns.
• Commitment to safety protocols and PPE usage.
