Head Of Security RMOTE

About the Role:

The Head of Security will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive

security strategies for the platform, the users, and data. This leadership role requires a dynamic

individual with a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to represent

the company in public forums and with regulatory bodies while ensuring compliance & Global Security

Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

● Strategic Leadership:

○ Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy aligned with business

objectives and regulatory requirements.

○ Establish, develop and lead a high-performing security team, fostering a culture of

continuous improvement and innovation.

○ Serve as the primary liaison with external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors,

and industry partners and act as the company's spokesperson on security matters,

engaging with media, industry groups, and regulatory bodies.

○ Represent the company at conferences, panels, and public forums, enhancing our

reputation as a security-conscious organization.

● Security Infrastructure:

○ Design and implement robust security architectures to safeguard digital assets, user

data, and platform integrity.

○ Oversee the deployment of advanced threat detection and response systems, ensuring

proactive identification and mitigation of security risks.

○ Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks, such as ISO/IEC

27001:2022

● Incident Management & Compliance:

○ Lead the response to security incidents, coordinating internal teams and external

partners to minimize impact and ensure swift resolution.

○ Conduct regular security audits and assessments, implementing corrective actions as

necessary.

○ Stay informed on global regulatory developments, ensuring the platform's compliance

with applicable laws and standards.

○ Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and regulatory agencies to

stay abreast of emerging threats and compliance requirements.

What We Are Looking For

● Educational Background

○ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related

field.

● Experience

○ 15-18 years of experience in fintech or product based organization information security,

with at least 5 - 8 years in a leadership role within the fintech or product based

organization.

○ Proven track record of establishing and managing security operations in a high-growth,

regulated environment.

Knowledge Areas:

● Technical Skills:

● Deep understanding of application and product security, including secure development

practices, vulnerability management, and VPAT compliance.

● Proven experience with endpoint security and device management (laptops, mobile

devices, MDM, EDR) across a distributed workforce.

● Strong understanding of securing cloud infrastructure, including identity management,

network security, and compliance.

● Knows about protection measures for large-scale security threats such as DDoS

mitigation, fraud prevention, and incident response.

● Established and enforced security policies, ensured regulatory compliance, and

managed organization-wide incident response processes.

● Soft Skills:

○ Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with experience managing

cross-functional teams.

○ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate

complex security concepts to diverse audiences.

○ Experience in crisis management and incident response within a digital asset context.
