We are seeking a Junior Technical Writer to join our team at BEGAWN IT Pvt. Ltd., located in Mohali, Chandigarh, and Panchkula. This is a full-time position ideal for candidates with 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience, who have a keen interest in technical documentation and content development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to create clear, concise, and accurate API documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with tools like google docs and basic knowledge of using GitHub for content management and collaboration.
- Strong command of the English language with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and capability to convert complex technical information into easy-to-understand content.
- Familiarity with best practices in technical documentation and content writing methodologies.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a small team environment and communicate effectively with developers and product managers.
- Must have a foundational understanding of technical concepts and an aptitude for researching new technologies quickly.
- Required: Basic experience or demonstrated interest in producing software or product documentation for digital platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation including API guides, user manuals, and online help content.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to gather technical information and clarify documentation requirements.
- Ensure all documentation is consistent in style, format, and quality, adhering to company guidelines and standards.
- Edit and proofread technical documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Organize and update documentation using google docs and version control tools such as GitHub.
- Stay updated with industry best practices to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of content.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute new ideas to enhance documentation practices and user experience.
- Assist in creating content for various channels, including knowledge bases, FAQs, and tutorials, as needed.
