Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Engineer . As a Supply Chain Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, logistics, and distribution processes to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products. This is a mid-level position, requiring experience in supply chain management and mechanical engineering. The job is located in Chakan, Maharashtra, India, and is a full-time position.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in supply chain management, preferably in the Automotive/Manufacturing Industry.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
• Experience in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software, such as SAP or ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize the flow of materials and products.
• Manage the procurement process, including sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and evaluating suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and develop production plans.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and products by coordinating with logistics providers.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize costs and avoid shortages.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Utilize supply chain management software, such as SAP or ERP systems, to track and manage inventory.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards for quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
