Role Summary:
The person will be involved in the smooth running of an extremely prestigious government portal, https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in, having direct visibility of the PMO.
The project coordinator will handle client interactions and be the prime point of contact for the organization to understand issues faced by different types of users with the current portal and gather any new requirements from the client.
The person will be required to work closely with the development and maintenance team and get specific issues addressed in a timely manner.
The incumbent in this role will have to be technologically savvy along with good communication and interpersonal skills. Some knowledge of coding and understanding of the software development lifecycle would be an advantage.
List of Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Be stationed at the client site and coordinate all interactions on behalf of the company.
2. Understand and comprehend the issues raised or any new requirement being asked for.
3. Ability to document clearly, on the demands from the client, and communicate back to the company.
4. Monitoring the development progress of enhancements being rolled out on a regular basis.
5. Conduct extensive tests on non-prod environments, to be able to comprehend issues faced by users.
Project Management Skills
- Planning & Scheduling – Ability to create and manage project timelines.
- Risk Management – Identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
- Client Interaction – Handling client requirements, expectations, and feedback.
- Stakeholder Management – Coordinating between teams and management.
- Cross-functional Team Collaboration – Working with different departments and external teams.
- Reporting & Documentation – Preparing SRS, BRD, FRD, Technical Documents, Reports, meeting minutes, and project Status/updates.
Technical & Domain Knowledge
- Industry-Specific Knowledge – Understanding the domain (e.g., IT, construction, manufacturing).
- Software Proficiency – Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Confluence.
- Basic Technical Understanding –Knowledge of relevant tools or software, Basic understanding or Programming concepts and languages.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making
- Issue Resolution – Quickly identifying and resolving project challenges.
- Decision-Making – Making informed and timely decisions under pressure.
Compliance & Process Adherence
- Knowledge of Regulations – Understanding compliance, safety, and legal requirements in India.
- Process Standardization – Ensuring adherence to company policies and quality standards.
- Multilingual Abilities – Hindi, English, and regional languages may be beneficial.
