Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee and streamline projects in Product Design and Design Engineering & Support. The ideal candidate will ensure that all Product design, engineering & support deliverables are tracked, deadlines are met, and projects are executed seamlessly from concept to delivery. A high level of proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for creating and maintaining project trackers, Gantt charts, and reporting dashboards is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and monitor all product design and engineering projects to ensure on-time delivery.
- Create and maintain project trackers, resource allocation sheets, and milestone-based schedulers using advanced Excel functions.
- Coordinate with Product Designers, Design Engineers, Vendors, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with teams, highlight risks/delays, and propose corrective actions.
- Maintain project documentation including design briefs, revisions, timelines, and delivery reports.
- Support NPD leadership in status reporting to management with clear metrics and dashboards.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and compliance in design-to-manufacturing processes.
- Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, Marketing, L&D, Vendors, and Manufacturing).
Requirements
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in product design, furniture manufacturing, OEMs, or related industries.
- Mastery in MS Excel / Google Sheets: pivot tables, conditional formatting, advanced formulas, macros (preferred).
- Strong project tracking and scheduling skills (knowledge of MS Project, Asana, or Trello is a plus).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design Management, Project Management, or related fields.
- PMP/Prince2 certification is an added advantage (not mandatory).
