Responsibilities:

• Merchandising frames, lenses, and eyewear accessories;
• Provide assistance to the Optometrist during eye exams as needed;
• Assist patient frames and lens selection;
• Merchandise frames, lens, and eyewear accessories;
• Other responsibilities as assigned;
• Ensure that the practice’s optical quality standards are met;
• Inventory management;
• Manage eyewear orders and patient pickup;
• Adjustment and minor eyeglass repair;
• Manage all aspects of eyewear orders and patient pickup;
• Verify order, measurements, prescription, material;
• Filing invoices and statements;
• Eyewear adjustment and minor repair;
• Work with patients in the adaptation of their lenses;
• Send orders to the labs and insurance verification.

Requirements:

• Strong sales background;
• Basic optometry experience a plus;
• High level of initiative; works well within a team environment;
• High level of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment;
• Flexible schedule to meet the demand of patients and clinical operations;
• Proven customer service skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; computer literate;
• Basic computer knowledge; Microsoft Office skills helpful;
• Prior experience in the Optical industry is a plus;
• Prior experience as an Optician or in the Optical industry;
• Fashion saavy;
• Insurance and billing experience a huge plus;
• Prior experience in an Optometry setting a plus but not required;
• Proven customer service skills and an eye for fashion;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
