Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Turner to join our team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in lathe machine operations and be able to work efficiently with precision to produce high-quality parts and components. The Turner will be responsible for performing turning operations on various materials and ensuring the parts meet required specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathe machines (manual and CNC).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
• Perform turning operations, including facing, boring, threading, and turning.
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
• Inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on lathe machines.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain high quality and production standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 4 to 6 years of experience as a Turner or in a similar role.
• Proficient in manual and CNC lathe machine operation.
• Strong knowledge of turning processes, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
• Good understanding of machining materials such as metals and plastics.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine-related issues and perform minor repairs.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
