The Sales Head will be responsible for overseeing the entire sales function within the organization and will be crucial in driving the sales strategy, managing teams, and achieving revenue targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:
  • Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet the company’s growth and revenue objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to adapt sales tactics accordingly.
  • Set long-term and short-term sales goals and align them with company goals.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and manage the sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture with a focus on results and team collaboration.
  • Set clear performance targets and ensure the team achieves them.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to sales managers and representatives to optimize performance.
  • Revenue Growth and Performance Monitoring:
  • Ensure the company meets its revenue targets by driving sales across various channels.
  • Monitor key sales metrics and KPIs, including conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and retention rates.
  • Track sales performance and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Oversee key client relationships and ensure top-tier service to high-value customers.
  • Support the sales team in managing customer accounts, resolving issues, and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Collaboration Across Departments:
  • Work closely with marketing to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and lead generation.
  • Coordinate with the product and operations teams to ensure products/services meet customer expectations.
  • Communicate with finance and HR to ensure budgets and staffing are aligned with sales goals.
  • Sales Process Optimization:
  • Establish and optimize the sales processes, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Introduce and implement tools and technologies (CRM, sales automation software) to enhance team productivity.
  • Conduct regular sales training sessions to improve skills and product knowledge across the team.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for executive leadership, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Market Analysis and Expansion:
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, customer segments, and geographic markets.
  • Lead business development initiatives to explore new revenue streams and partnerships.
  • Reporting and Communication:
  • Regularly report on sales performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Ensure clear communication of sales goals and achievements across the organization.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Director, or Head of Sales, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in managing a large sales team and driving high-level performance.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales analytics tools.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and customer relationship skills.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the FMCG industry.
