Job Title: Senior SAP BTP Architect

Job Description:

One of our clients is seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP BTP, Integration Suite, and Security Technical Architect to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a complex SAP landscape, with a strong emphasis on leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role requires deep expertise in SAP BTP, SAP BTP Integration Suite, PI/PO, and SAP Security Architecture to enhance system functionality and security. The ideal candidate will possess 18–20 years of experience, demonstrating strategic decision-making and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Expertise

• Architect and implement SAP BTP solutions to extend and enhance SAP functionality.
• Serve as the architect for SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Utilize BTP services for security enhancements, including identity management and access control.
• Leverage BTP services to enhance monitoring and observability of the SAP landscape.
• Design and implement security solutions for SAP BTP applications and services.
• Provide guidance and support for developers on SAP BTP development and deployment.
• Stay up to date on the latest SAP BTP features and capabilities.
• Utilize BTP to create more secure and efficient methods of system administration.

SAP Security Architecture & Implementation

• Design and implement comprehensive SAP security architectures, including role-based access control (RBAC), authorization management, and data encryption.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Lead security incident response and remediation efforts.
• Implement security best practices using SAP Solution Manager.

Landscape Decision-Making

• Make critical architectural decisions regarding system design, technology selection, and security strategies.
• Develop and implement long-term strategic roadmaps for the SAP landscape.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and best practices to optimize performance, security, and scalability.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior Basis and Security team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, functional consultants, and business stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on SAP technology and architecture.

Integration

• Possess an advanced understanding of SAP integration patterns.
• Work closely with teams responsible for integration solutions.
