Role Summary

We are seeking a Core Network Project Engineer with strong expertise in telecom core network technologies to support a critical project through implementation, testing, and go-live phases. This role demands solid troubleshooting abilities, protocol knowledge, and collaboration with architects, SMEs, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the Core Network team throughout the project lifecycle (initiation to closure).
• Collaborate with Network and IT Architects to ensure end-to-end implementation alignment.
• Validate Core Network requirements and designs with SMEs.
• Develop test plans and manage/coordinate test execution (onsite & remote).
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex core network faults using log and trace analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze fault trends and drive preventive solutions.
• Provide support during POCs, trials, UAT, and go-live activities.
• Work flexible hours (night/weekend shifts) when required during project phases.
• Support Core Network BAU activities (monitoring, testing, troubleshooting).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Strong knowledge of CS, PS & IMS Core (validation, troubleshooting, fault resolution).
• Solid understanding of end-to-end data service call flows.
• Hands-on experience with key telecom protocols: GTP, Gi, Sy, Gx, Gy & Ro, SIGTRAN, MAP.
• Proficiency in Wireshark for trace analysis and debugging.

Desirable

• Knowledge of 3GPP, IETF, GSMA standards and architectures.
• Familiarity with SIM, eSIM, and BAP testing.
• Database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, or other platforms).
• System admin experience with PL/SQL, Batch, UNIX, MS Office.
• Ability to interpret programs, codes, SOPs.
• Scripting experience (Shell or other programming languages).
• Exposure to AWS or cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
