Job Title: Lead AI/ML & NLP Consultant

Mode: 6 month Contract + ext.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of complex AI/ML and Natural Language Processing (NLP) models, focusing on intelligent automation, document processing, and data extraction solutions.

Guide the technical team in selecting and implementing the most appropriate AI/ML algorithms, frameworks, and tools for business objectives.

Maintain deep expertise in the latest advancements in AI, LLMs, and NLP techniques

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for international clients (requiring flexible UST time working hours).

Proactively interact and build strong professional rapport with client stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams.

Translate ambiguous business challenges and client requirements into clear, comprehensive technical specifications and project roadmaps.

Lead the production deployment of AI/ML models, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in live environments.

Be accountable for handling production support issues and escalations in a live, mission-critical environment, including troubleshooting and performance optimization of deployed models.

Establish MLOps best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), monitoring, and retraining pipelines.

Lead, mentor, and guide a team of AI/ML Engineers and Data Scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.

Conduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and best practices across the team.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in developing and deploying AI/ML and NLP solutions.

Technical Domain Expertise (Must Have):

Deep, hands-on experience with modern Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, including but not limited to LLMs/Transformers, Named Entity Recognition (NER), Topic Modeling, Text Classification, and Document Understanding.

Expertise in Machine Learning (ML) frameworks (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

Proven experience in designing and working with large, complex datasets for model training and validation.

Production & MLOps Experience (Must Have):

Demonstrated experience in handling production support in live environments, including debugging, monitoring, and maintaining high-availability AI services.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying and scaling ML models.

Leadership & Communication (Must Have):

Proven ability to lead and guide a technical team.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated experience in client-facing roles, including presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
