Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior DR Resiliency Engineer on a contract basis for our Hyderabad location. The successful candidate will possess 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, focusing on disaster recovery, resiliency architecture, and business continuity planning. This role is critical for ensuring ongoing service reliability and minimizing operational risks for our clients.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in ASR, DB failover, and runbooks (Mandatory skill), ensuring seamless continuity and rapid recovery processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of resiliency engineering principles, including critical infrastructure planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing monitoring solutions to proactively identify disruptions and trigger recovery workflows.
• Proven track record in disaster recovery planning across complex IT environments, covering systems, databases, and applications.
• Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, including evaluating system vulnerabilities and designing mitigation strategies that ensure stability and compliance.
• Strong background in BCP testing, coordinating simulated events, and documenting response procedures to validate and enhance recovery capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the capacity to respond rapidly and effectively to incidents and operational challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly to stakeholders and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Must have a consistent history of driving continuous improvement initiatives in resiliency and disaster recovery domains across diverse organizational setups.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and resiliency strategies, leveraging ASR, DB failover, and runbook methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive business continuity and incident response plans tailored to unique client requirements.
• Lead the execution, validation, and documentation of DR drills, failover processes, and business continuity testing, providing post-event analysis and recommendations.
• Proactively monitor IT environment using tailored monitoring solutions to detect disruptions and initiate swift recovery actions.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities in infrastructure, applications, and processes, reporting findings to management.
• Maintain and continually update DR documentation, runbooks, and workflows to ensure readiness for various disaster scenarios.
• Advise on and implement improvements in resiliency, reliability, and disaster recovery measures, incorporating industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Provide subject matter expertise and training to stakeholders and technical staff on business continuity, DR procedures, and critical system recovery techniques.
